The Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) received an official visit from the Center of Excellence (PUI) for Literacy and Arts in Education, Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Universitas Negeri Medan on December 16, 2025. This benchmarking visit aimed to explore strategic cooperation to strengthen the foundation of education and community service between the two institutions. The delegation from Universitas Negeri Medan, led by Dr. Tengku Ratna Soraya, S.Pd., M.Pd., was warmly welcomed by Dr. Junaidi, S.S., Manager of Cooperation and Ventures at FIB UI, to discuss opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration in the future. Also in attendance from Universitas Negeri Medan were Dr. Wahyu Tri Atmojo, Dr. Rita Suswati, Ms. Trisnawati Hutagalung, Ms. Oktari Anastasya Sihaloho, and Mr. Asran Siregar.
During the meeting, both parties agreed on two main points to be implemented in the coming year. The first agenda is the implementation of a collaborative Community Service program centered in the North Sumatra region, aiming to provide a tangible impact on the development of local literacy and culture. The second equally important agenda is a guest lecturer exchange program, where experts from each university will share knowledge and experience to enrich the academic perspective of students and teaching staff. Through this initiation, FIB UI hopes to build a sustainable partnership and contribute significantly to the advancement of higher education in Indonesia. (RMRW)
