Becoming a leading educational institute and the center of excellence of Japanese linguistic, literature, history, and socio-cultural in Indonesia.

MISSIONS

a). To prepare students to be a citizen with moral decency, own an excellent academic skills, and able to compete nationally or internationally;
b). To discover, develop, create, and spread a creation about Japanese linguistic, literature, history, and socio-cultural for knowledge-based purposes and the prosperity of humankind;
c). To develop social sensibility and responsibility towards community life;
d). To take part in improving world civilization with graduates who possess extensive knowledge and peace-loving manner.


GRADUATES PROFILE AND COMPETENCIES

  1. Profile of Japanese Studies Graduates

Japanese studies graduates are able to use Japanese, both orally and in written, analyze theoretical concepts, and apply the result of Japanese socio-cultural studies to make decisions in various alternative solutions with a sense of responsibility.

 

Main Competenciesa)

a). To be able to describe Japanese historical and socio-cultural knowledge;
b). To be able to communicate in a correct and proper Japanese;
c). To be able to distinguish Japanese literature and linguistic knowledge;
d). To be able to analyze various Japanese socio-cultural phenomenon both in the past and contemporary.


Supporting Competencies

a). To be able to express scientific ideas orally and in written with correct and proper Indonesian
b). To be able to apply theories and methods of cultural research;
c). To be able to describe the patterns and dynamic of Indonesian culture;
d). To be able to elaborate the variety of philosophy and modern thoughts;
e). To be able to describe about the human and society of Indonesia in present time and their relation with other nations in global context;
f). To be able to analyze Japanese historical and territorial actuality;
g). To be able to interpret the result of Japanese literature and cultural study;
h). To be able to use Japanese language in Japanese humanities study, both in the past or present time.

Other Competencies

a). To be able to utilize Information and Communication Technology;;
b). To be able to think in a critical, creative, and innovative manner and to have intellectual curiosity to solve problems both individually and in groups;
c.) To be able to use both spoken and written Indonesian and English in a correct and proper manner for academic and non-academic activities.
d). To be able to behave with integrity and to respect others;;
e). To be able to identify a variety of entrepreneurial efforts that are characterized by ethical innovation and autonomy.
