Students of SMA Nasional Plus BPK PENABUR Bogor Explore FIB UI

The Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI), welcomed an educational visit from SMA Nasional Plus BPK Penabur Bogor on Thursday, 11 December 2025. The activity, held at Auditorium IX – Soe Hok Gie, FIB UI, was attended by 40 participants, consisting of 37 students and 3 accompanying teachers. The visit aimed to introduce the world of humanities while providing an overview of the academic environment and study opportunities at FIB UI.

The delegation from SMA Nasional Plus BPK PENABUR Bogor was led by Mr. Firmandes Titiari, S.Pd., GR, who delivered opening remarks on behalf of the school. In his speech, he expressed appreciation for the warm welcome from FIB UI and conveyed his hope that the visit would broaden the students’ perspectives on higher education options, particularly in the field of humanities. The delegation was also accompanied by Ms. Melly and Ms. Lidia.

The visit was received by Chysanti Arumsari, M.A., Head of Public Relations and Protocol of FIB UI, along with the FIB UI Public Relations team. During the presentation session, students received comprehensive information about the study programs offered at FIB UI, scholarship opportunities, academic and non-academic activities, as well as the career prospects and potential pathways for graduates. The presentation also highlighted various faculty initiatives to support graduate readiness through competency development programs and career placement services.

Students’ enthusiasm was evident throughout the event. They actively raised questions regarding scholarship opportunities, career prospects for FIB UI graduates, and campus life dynamics. The interactive discussion reflected the students’ strong interest in the field of humanities.

At the conclusion of the visit, a souvenir was presented by the school representative. The students were then invited to explore the FIB UI campus and experience its dynamic academic atmosphere firsthand. On this occasion, they also had the opportunity to observe several ongoing activities at FIB UI, including a student product exhibition by the Archaeology Study Program in the Cultural Commodification course, as well as a Public Lecture delivered by the Ambassador of Tunisia.

Through this visit, FIB UI hopes to provide an inspiring and meaningful experience for students in becoming more familiar with higher education, particularly in the field of humanities. FIB UI continues to position itself as an inclusive learning space with a global outlook and strong humanistic values, and looks forward to welcoming outstanding young talents from across Indonesia to become part of the FIB UI academic community.
