The Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) officially received an educational visit from SMA Harapan Bangsa, South Tangerang, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, as part of an institutional introduction and cultural insight program for the younger generation. The delegation, totaling 94 participants, consisted of 83 students and 10 assisting teachers, and was attended directly by the school’s leadership. The group was warmly welcomed by the faculty within the campus environment as an effort to strengthen the relationship between secondary education institutions and the university world, particularly in the field of humanities.
The delegation from SMA Harapan Bangsa was led directly by Dr. Agustinus Joko Purwanto, S.Pd., M.M., as the Principal, accompanied by several teaching staffs including Mr. Anton, Mr. Aji, Mr. Deki, Mr. Sugeng, Mr. Luki, Mr. Hendra, and Mr. Casipan. During the visit, participants were provided with presentations regarding the various study programs available at FIB UI, as well as the various learning support facilities that can enhance students’ interests and talents in the fields of language, literature, history, and culture.
Through this meeting, FIB UI hopes that the visit will serve as a source of inspiration for SMA Harapan Bangsa students in determining their higher education path. By gaining a deeper understanding of the scientific and cultural values developed at the university, FIB UI hopes that the students will be able to prepare themselves more thoroughly to become part of an academic community that is excellent, characterized, and capable of contributing to the nation’s progress in the future.
