FIB UI Discusses MoU Implementation with Kanazawa University

The Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI), held a meeting with Kanazawa University on 24 November 2025 to discuss the implementation of the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions. This meeting marks a continued effort to strengthen international academic collaboration, particularly in the fields of education and research related to the Japanese–Indonesian language and culture.

Kanazawa University was represented by Yamamoto Hiroshima, Ph.D., and Nakano Ryoko, while FIB UI was represented by Dr. Junaidi, Manager for Partnership and Ventures, and the Head of the Japanese Studies Program, Dewi Anggraini, Ph.D.

The discussion highlighted plans to develop various collaborative programs, including student and faculty exchange, short courses on Indonesian Language and Culture at Kanazawa University, virtual guest lectures delivered by faculty members from both sides, as well as seminars and conferences for postgraduate students. These initiatives are expected to enhance international academic exposure and provide deeper intercultural engagement for the academic community of both institutions.

FIB UI expressed strong enthusiasm for the planned collaboration as part of its ongoing commitment to expanding international networks and improving the quality of education and research. Through this strategic partnership, the academic relationship between Indonesia and Japan is expected to grow even stronger and contribute meaningfully to knowledge development and educational diplomacy.
