The Faculty of Humanities Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) successfully held the grand event “HOMERUN” (HOMECOMING X HUMANIORUN) FIB UI 2025, an activity that successfully combined the spirit of sports, alumni gathering, and social contribution. This activity is part of the series of events celebrating the 86th Anniversary of FIB UI, which will take place on December 4, 2025. Starting at 05:00 AM WIB with flag-off preparations, the event commenced with a Safety Induction Briefing, singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya, a prayer recitation, and a Welcome Speech by the FIB UI Leadership. Following a warm-up session with Fit Hub, participants were released in three categories: the 10K Flag off at 06:00 AM WIB, the 5K Flag off at 06:10 AM WIB, and the fun walk Flag off at 06:15 AM WIB. The race ran until 08:30 AM WIB. The leaders of FIB UI also actively participated in the 10K race and fun walk.
In addition to the main running event, HOMERUN also provided free health and fitness facilities, such as Health Check-ups with RS. Mitra Keluarga and BMI Checks with Fit Hub, both open from 08:00 AM to 10:30 AM WIB. Participants could also join a ZUMBA session with FIT HUB in the Gd. X parking lot from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM WIB. A key moment of the Homecoming was the Attendance Registration in the Lobby of Gd. II, serving as a meeting point for alumni. The social aspect was highlighted through speeches by the CEO of FLIP and the CEO of Rumah Zakat, followed by the Symbolic Scholarship Handover from the two partners. The activities continued with a Health Talk Show by RS. Mitra Keluarga and family entertainment at the Kids Zone (coloring competition by IKAPI) in the Gd. 4 auditorium (10:30 AM-11:30 AM WIB). After the prayer/lunch break (ISHOMA), the event stage was enlivened by a dance performance from Bakul Budaya and musical performances from BabyRock, KlapKlip, Malanestapa (duo), Backingsoda, and concluded by Samu, interspersed with exciting Doorprize sessions.
The main goal of organizing HOMERUN FIB UI 2025 was to strengthen the bond between alumni and their alma mater, and all active Civitas Academica, as well as to promote a healthy lifestyle through active participation in running and fitness activities. Furthermore, this event served as a tangible manifestation of the faculty’s and its partners’ contribution to education through the distribution of scholarships. It also provided important information to alumni, such as the announcement of the brief profiles of the ILUNI (Alumni Association) FIB UI Chairman candidates. Looking ahead, FIB UI hopes that “HOMERUN” can become an increasingly larger and more attractive annual routine agenda. This synergy between sports, culture, and social action is expected to provide sustained impact, reflecting the holistic and relevant values of the humanities to the community.
