A team of students from the Ikatan Keluarga Sastra Indonesia (IKSI), Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI), won 2nd place in the National Short Documentary Competition on Local Wisdom organized by CTTS IPB on November 1, 2025, in Bogor.
Their documentary film, titled “Menenun Kehidupan” (Weaving Life), captivated the judges with its storytelling that highlights the values of local wisdom, perseverance, and the community’s spirit in preserving the traditional art of weaving as part of Indonesia’s cultural heritage.
The film production team consisted of Daniel Hariman Jacob (Director and Screenwriter), Anya (IKSI 2022, Producer), and Ifkar (IKSI 2022, Editor). Through this work, they portray the weaving process not merely as a skill, but also as a symbol of life, precision, and Indonesian cultural identity.
FIB UI expresses its appreciation and pride in this collaboration between lecturers and students, reaffirming its support for student creativity and innovation in cultural preservation through creative media.
