The Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI), welcomed an educational visit from SMA Negeri 2 Kediri on Monday, October 13, 2025. The visit, held at the Toety Heraty Noerhadi Auditorium, Building I FIB UI, was attended by 42 students and two accompanying teachers, namely Mr. Heru Suhadi, S.Kom., and Mr. Itok Dwi Budiarto, M.Pd., who also serves as the Vice Principal for Student Affairs.
The delegation was received by Dr. Rouli Esther, Manager for Academic Affairs at FIB UI, along with Ms. Chysanti Arumsari, M.A., Head of Public Relations and Protocol, and Ms. Sunarti from the Public Relations Office. In her presentation, Dr. Rouli provided an overview of the faculty, its academic programs, and student activities, highlighting FIB UI’s role as a leading center for the development of humanities in Indonesia.
During the question-and-answer session led by Ms. Chysanti Arumsari, the students showed great enthusiasm by asking about non-foreign language programs, such as Library and Information Science and Philosophy, as well as about faculty facilities, including the Daun Sirih Theatre and specialized courses like Sign Language Studies offered at FIB UI.
The visit concluded with the presentation of a plaque from SMAN 2 Kediri to FIB UI and a group photo session.
This visit was SMAN 2 Kediri’s first educational visit to FIB UI. Through this activity, it is hoped that the students gained broader insights into academic pathways and career opportunities in the humanities, inspiring them to pursue higher education at Universitas Indonesia. (CA)
