FIB UI and UiTM Audience Promotes Research Collaboration and Academic Exchange

The Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) received a visit and audience from the Language Studies Academy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at meeting room 2401, FIB UI.

The visit was led by Professor of Professional Technology Dr. Janudin Sardi, Dean of the Language Studies Academy at UiTM, along with other senior officials, namely Associate Professor Dr. Norhazlina Hussin (Deputy Dean of Academic and International Affairs), Dr. Muhamad Zaidi Zakaria (Deputy Dean of Student Affairs), and Associate Professor Dr. Norfazlin Mohd Ramli (Deputy Dean of Research, Industry and Community Networks), Mr. Badli Esham, along with university staff.

The UiTM delegation was welcomed directly by the leadership of FIB UI, including Dr. Bondan Kanumoyoso, S.S., M.Hum., Dr. Untung Yuwono, S.S. (Deputy Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs), Dr. Junaidi (Manager of Cooperation and Ventures), Harni Kartika Ningsih, Ph.D. (Research and Community Service Manager), and Prof. Dr. Cecep Eka Permana (Head of the Department of Archaeology).

The event began with a speech from the Vice Dean of Education, Research and Student Affairs at FIB UI, Dr. Untung Yuwono, which was followed by an introduction and speech from the Dean of the UiTM Language Studies Academy, Prof. Dr. Janudin Sardi. This meeting served as a forum for the exchange of ideas and plans to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions.

During the discussion session, several points of cooperation were discussed, including student and academic staff exchanges, research collaboration in the fields of language, literature, and culture, joint summer courses and short courses, joint publications and international seminars, and curriculum development and cooperation in the field of digital humanities.

To conclude the series of events, souvenirs were exchanged between the Dean of FIB UI and the Dean of the UiTM Language Studies Academy as a symbol of friendship and commitment to cooperation. The event then continued with a group photo session and a reception.

This visit is expected to strengthen academic ties and open opportunities for sustainable international collaboration between FIB UI and UiTM, particularly in the development of language, literature, and cultural studies. (CA)
