The Cooperation and Venture Manager of the Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI), Dr. Junaidi, S.S., M.A., visited Tarakan University of Borneo on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. This activity aimed to strengthen institutional networks and introduce further education opportunities at FIB UI.
During a meeting with the Head of the Academic, Student Affairs, and Cooperation Bureau of the University of Borneo, Armansyah, S.Pi., M.Si., discussions focused on potential collaborations and the promotion of FIB UI’s postgraduate programs, which include master’s (S2) and doctoral (S3) degrees.
Currently, FIB UI offers eight Master’s programs: Archaeology, Southeast Asia Studies, East Asia Studies, Philosophy, Library Science, History, Literature, and Linguistics. Meanwhile, for the Doctoral Program, there are six fields of study available, namely Archaeology, Philosophy, History, Literature, Linguistics, and Information Studies.
FIB UI is currently opening its third round of graduate student admissions until October 20, 2025. Detailed information about the programs offered and the registration process can be accessed through the official UI website at enrollment.ui.ac.id.
The presence of FIB UI at Universitas Borneo Tarakan affirms the faculty’s commitment to expanding its academic network throughout Indonesia. With the support of research-based programs and the strengthening of the humanities, FIB UI is expected to contribute to improving the quality of higher education at both the national and regional levels.
