Korindo Scholarship Award Ceremony 2025 for Students of the Korean Studies Program, FIB UI

The Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) held the Korindo Scholarship Award Ceremony 2025 on September 16, 2025, in room 2401, UI Depok Campus. This event is a form of ongoing collaboration between FIB UI and the Korindo Foundation in supporting the academic achievements of students.

The event opened with a speech from the Vice Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs of FIB UI, Dr. Untung Yuwono, S.S., who expressed his appreciation for the Korindo Foundation’s contribution over the past few years in supporting outstanding students, especially those from the Korean Studies Program. The number of Korindo Foundation scholarship recipients has continued to grow from year to year. He advised students to use the scholarship to study as well as possible, continue to develop themselves, and contribute to society.

Mr. Sunghoon Lee, Secretary General of the Korindo Foundation, also delivered a speech, emphasizing Korindo’s commitment to supporting the education of Indonesia’s younger generation, especially those pursuing Korean language and culture studies. In addition, the Head of the Korean Studies Program, Rostineu, Ph.D., expressed her appreciation for Korindo’s consistency in encouraging the progress of FIB UI students. FIB UI selected the scholarship recipients from 21 initial candidates, narrowing it down to 6 recipients. The chosen students not only have outstanding academic achievements with a GPA above 3.70, but also non-academic achievements, including winning the Korean speech contest.

This year, six students from the FIB UI Korean Studies Program won the 2025 Korindo Scholarship, namely:

  1. Amanda Shabirah Putri Harahap (GPA 3.99, semester 5)
  2. Alexandra Putri Bernadine (GPA 3.96, semester 3)
  3. Bagas Seotiandhika Hidayat (GPA 3.93, semester 3)
  4. Anandhiya Nazhifah (GPA 3.80, semester 7)
  5. Tasya Ramadhani Marlin (GPA 3.77, semester 7)
  6. Muhammad Rafii Rizqullah (GPA 3.72, semester 7)

The scholarship certificates were symbolically presented by Mr. Sunghoon Lee and Mr. Setiyono, General Manager of the Korindo Foundation, witnessed by FIB UI leaders, including Dr. Untung Yuwono, Mrs. Rostineu, Ph.D., Mr. Zaini, M.A., lecturer of the Korean Studies Program, and Mrs. Chysanti Arumsari, M.A., Head of Public Relations and Protocol.

The representative of the scholarship recipients, Muhammad Rafii Rizqullah, delivered a speech in Korean to express his gratitude to the Korindo Foundation and FIB UI. He emphasized that this award would motivate all recipients to continue to excel.

The event concluded with a group photo session with all invited guests, faculty leaders, and scholarship recipients. Through this scholarship program, FIB UI and the Korindo Foundation hope to continue contributing to the development of globally competent human resources. (Trans-RMRW)
