The Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) received a visit from the Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences, Trunojoyo University, Madura (FISIB UTM) on Friday, September 12, 2025. The visit was led by the Head of Information Systems, Public Relations, and Protocol, Ms. Vidya Nindhita, M.Psi., Psychologist, and staff member, Ms. Pipit. The visit was received by the Head of Public Relations and Protocol, Ms. Chysanti Arumsari, M.A., accompanied by senior protocol officer, Ms. Sunarti, S.H. The meeting focused on benchmarking the public relations and protocol system, including an explanation of the main duties and functions of public relations and protocol, resource management, and sharing experiences in managing various protocol activities within FIB UI.
The discussion was lively and informative, marked by the exchange of experiences and strategic points between the two institutions. This meeting also strengthened FIB UI’s network with other state universities, particularly in the areas of public relations and protocol.
Public relations and protocol play a vital role as the frontline in building an institution’s image. Through effective communication management and professional event management, they are key to creating harmonious relationships with the public and ensuring the smooth running of various official activities. While numerous guides and training programs are available, practical experience remains a valuable asset. Therefore, collaboration and sharing of best practices between institutions is expected to strengthen professionalism and solidify the institution’s positive reputation. (CA)
