Faculty of Humanities Celebrates Hundreds of Cum Laude Graduates in 2024/2025 Graduation Ceremony

Universitas Indonesia held a graduation ceremony and a welcoming ceremony for new students for the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year for the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Humanities (FIB), and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the UI Balairung, Depok, on September 11, 2025. At this graduation, FIB produced hundreds of new graduates from various humanities study programs at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels.

FIB UI graduated 663 students, including 475 graduates of the Regular Undergraduate Program, 88 graduates of the Parallel Undergraduate Program, 92 graduates of the Master’s Program, and 8 graduates of the Doctoral Program. Of these, 8 graduates of the Regular Undergraduate Program and 1 graduate of the Parallel Undergraduate Program earned summa cum laude honors, while 216 graduates of the Regular Undergraduate Program and 27 graduates of the Parallel Undergraduate Program earned cum laude honors. This achievement is a clear testament to the dedication, hard work, and commitment of the students in undergoing the academic process amidst the challenges of the global era.

These outstanding graduates came from a variety of study programs, including Archaeology, Arabic, Korean Language and Culture, Dutch, Chinese, History, Library Science, Philosophy, Indonesian, English, Javanese, Japanese, German, French, Russian, East Asian, Southeast Asian, Linguistics, and Literature.

At the graduation ceremony, Layalia Hasya from the Russian Studies Program and Cesare Rafahsya Ridwan from the Arabic Studies Program represented their fellow graduates in receiving congratulations from the Rector of UI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, and the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. Bondan Kanumoyoso, S.S., M. Hum. Furthermore, the reading of the graduates’ oath was led by Adrian Putra Rayana from the Russian Studies Program, and the graduate’s speech was represented by Adiva Candra Pradani from the Japanese Studies Program.

In his remarks, the UI Rector expressed his highest appreciation to the graduates. He emphasized that this success is not solely the graduates’ personal achievement, but also a source of pride for their families, the faculty, the university, and Indonesia.
