The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI), Dr. Bondan Kanumoyoso, S.S., M.Hum., held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. H. Muhammad Bima Arya Sugiarto, S.IP., M.A., on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. The meeting discussed strengthening cooperation between FIB UI and the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), particularly in mainstreaming the cultural agenda in Kemendagri’s strategic programs.
On this occasion, the importance of the contribution of universities, especially FIB UI, in supporting culture-based public policies was emphasized. It was conveyed that strengthening the cultural aspect in Kemendagri’s strategic programs is very important to strengthen national identity while enriching the implementation of development policies.
In addition to discussing cooperation, an official invitation was also extended to the Deputy Minister to deliver a scientific speech at the 86th anniversary of FIB UI in December. The Deputy Minister’s presence is expected to provide a policy perspective that enriches academic discourse and strengthens the relationship between the academic world and the government.
