Welcoming 999 New 2025 Undergraduate Students, FIB UI Holds Introduction to the Academic System

The Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) held the Introduction to Faculty Academic System (PSAF) for new undergraduate students of class 2025 on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. This activity took place in the FIB UI Pelataran courtyard and classrooms, with the aim of introducing the academic system, learning environment, and academic community to new students. This activity is part of the PSA MABIM series at the faculty level, which lasts until August 15, 2025.

The event was officially and solemnly opened with a procession welcoming the leaders who entered the activity area. The series of activities began with a Safety Induction, followed by singing the song “Indonesia Raya” and “Genderang UI” as a form of respect for the country and alma mater.

In his remarks, the Dean of FIB UI, Dr. Bondan Kanumoyoso, S.S., M. Hum., said that this year FIB UI accepted 1,136 new students, consisting of 999 undergraduate students, 85 master’s program students, and 52 doctoral program students. In the even semester of 2024/2025, FIB UI graduated 663 students, including 475 graduates of the Regular Undergraduate Program, 88 graduates of the Parallel Undergraduate Program, 92 graduates of the Master’s Program, and 8 graduates of the Doctoral Program. Of these, there were 8 graduates of the Regular Undergraduate Program and 1 graduate of the Parallel Undergraduate Program who received summa cum laude predicates, while cum laude predicates were achieved by 216 graduates of the Regular Undergraduate Program and 27 graduates of the Parallel Undergraduate Program.

The Dean of FIB UI emphasized that in the next three and a half or four years, the new batch of 2025 students is expected to be part of the row of outstanding graduates.
