Zhejiang University’s Leaders and Students Visit to Faculty of Humanities Universitas Indonesia Provides Space for Exchange of Thoughts between Institutions

On July 8, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) received a visit from a delegation from Zhejiang University, China. The visit was a venue for discussion and exchange of ideas between the two renowned higher education institutions, focusing on the possibility of academic collaboration and student exchange.

The Zhejiang University delegation consisted of leaders and students from various faculties, including the International Business School, College of Media and International Culture, Guanghua Law School, School of Mechanical Engineering, and ZJU-UIUC collaborative programs (Zhejiang University-University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Institute). The Vice Dean of International Campus, Mr. Haidong Qu and, Ms. Li Shen (Chief Operating Officer), Deputy Director of Center of China Studies, Director of Global Engagement & International Admissions, Manager of Center of China Studies, and other Coordinators of Center of China Studies attended online, while Ms. Qilisha Chen (Ex. Deputy Head of General Affairs Department) and Ms. Shixin Li (Manager of Global Communication and Management Program) attended in person at FIB UI.

The delegation was received by the leadership of FIB UI, represented by Dr. Untung Yuwono, S.S., M.A. (Vice Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs), Dr. Junaidi, S.S., M.A., (Manager of Cooperation and Venture), Dr. Adi Kristina (Head of Chinese Studies Program), Amelia Burhan, Ph.D. (Head of East Asian Studies Program), Chysanti Arumsari, M.A. (Head of Public Relations and Protocol), lecturers of Chinese Studies Program, namely Dr. Rahadjeng Pulungsari Hadi, Ms. Dillah Kencono, Ms. Minah and Ms. Chika, as well as student representatives from the Chinese Studies Program, President of BEM, and Student Buddy FIB UI.

The meeting took place in a hybrid format, combining online and offline participation, and focused on discussions regarding potential cooperation in education, student exchange, and research collaboration. After an exchange of souvenirs as a symbol of friendship and a group photo, the Zhejiang University delegation took part in a Campus Tour which began with a look at the Chinese manuscript collection room at FIB UI and continued with a tour around the Universitas Indonesia campus.
