VISION

Becoming a center for enlightenment of thoughts about human life through comprehension and dialogue with other fields of sciences as well as understanding the development of progress in the 21st century as well as being a center for tracing the local genius of future Indonesian culture as national identity.

MISSIONS

  1. To develop sciences in philosophy fields through education and teaching and to serve the community;
  2. To produce excellent and highly competitive graduates in society;
  3. To make Philosophy Studies as a leading education institution in the field of philosophy in regional, national, and international level.

GRADUATES PROFILE AND COMPETENCIES

  1. Profile of Philosophy Studies

Philosophy Studies graduates who are able to analyze philosophy from the fields of epistemology, ethics, and ontology and are able to apply their knowledge as a basic consideration to make decisions and alternative solutions into social situations and conditions that become a responsibility of a scholar.


Main Competencies
a). To be able to analyze basic concepts in terms of epistemology, ethics, and ontology;
b). To be able to elaborate the thoughts from philosophy branches, namely; epistemology, ethics, and ontology;
c). To be able to analyze philosophical ideas related to the theory of epistemology, ethics, and ontology.

Supporting Competencies
a). To be able to express scientific ideas orally and in written with correct and proper Indonesian;
b). To be able to apply theories and methods of cultural research;
c). To be able to describe the patterns and dynamic of Indonesian culture;
d). To be able to elaborate the variety of philosophy and modern thoughts;
e). To be able to describe about the human and society of Indonesia in present time and their relation with other nations in global context;
f). To be able to build up an argumentation related to epistemology, ethics, and ontology issues;
g). To be able to apply the philosophical methods from the field of epistemology, ethics, and ontology as an analysis instrument;
h). To be able to modify philosophical ideas from the field of epistemology, ethics, and ontology.


Other Competencies

a). To be able to utilize Information and Communication Technology;
b). To be able to think in a critical, creative, and innovative manner and to have intellectual curiosity to solve problems both individually and in groups.
c). To be able to use both spoken and written Indonesian and English in a correct and proper manner for academic and non-academic activities.
d), To be able to behave with integrity and to respect others;
e). To be able to identify a variety of entrepreneurial efforts that are characterized by ethical innovation and autonomy.
