MISSIONS
GRADUATE PROFILE AND COMPETENCIES
Graduates of Chinese Studies are able to analyze theoretical concept of general cultural studies and Chinese studies based on primary sources, communicate both orally and in written with standard Mandarin and translate general text in Mandarin to a correct and proper Indonesian and to apply it in various alternative solutions to solve the education and society issues responsibly.
Main Competencies
a) To be able to communicate in Mandarin both orally and in written;
b). To be able to translate general text in Mandarin to a correct and proper Indonesian;
c). To be able to study cultural aspects in Chinese society, from dynasties era and the following era;
d). To be able to study specific topics related to Chinese historical events, from dynasties era to contemporary era.
Supporting Competencies
a). To be able to express scientific ideas orally and in written with correct and proper Indonesian.
b). To be able to apply theories and methods of cultural research;
c). To be able to describe the patterns and dynamic of Indonesian culture;
d). To be able to elaborate the variety of philosophy and modern thoughts;
e). To be able to describe about the human and society of Indonesia in present time and their relations with other nations in global context;
f). To be able to identify the aspect of language and literature, classics Chinese, and the variety of Chinese school of thought that embody the studies about China;
g). To be able to study the variety of major literary works in ancient and modern Chinese literature;
h). To be able to study the variety of language phenomena in Sinica linguistic level;
i). To be able to analyze Chinese language, literature, and history through oral and in written text in as a scientific works;
