The 6th UGIC Presents Synergy for Sustainable Innovation: Bridging Academics, Government, Industry, and Community

As part of its commitment to strengthening cross-sector collaboration, the Faculty of Humanities at the Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) held the 6th University-Government-Industry Collaboration (UGIC) entitled “Synergy for Sustainable Innovation: Bridging Academia, Government, Industry, and Community” on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Auditorium of Building IV FIB UI.

This event was held in collaboration with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the QHSE Forum of State-Owned Construction Companies. This year’s UGIC Forum served as a strategic platform to encourage cross-sector dialogue among academics, industry practitioners, government, and the community to share knowledge and strengthen collaboration in realizing sustainable innovation in various fields of development and policy formulation.

During the event, several speakers discussed the importance of synergy among stakeholders to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through a cross-disciplinary perspective, the forum highlighted how social, cultural, and technological innovations can be integrated to address global challenges such as climate change, educational equity, and green economic development.

FIB UI hopes that the UGIC forum can become a sustainable space for bringing together ideas and concrete actions between the academic world and practical applications in the field. By bridging cooperation between universities, government, industry, and communities, FIB UI is committed to continuing to encourage innovation that not only has an academic impact but also makes a real contribution to society and future sustainability.
