The Forum on East Asia and Contemporary Japanese Literature is a biennial scholarly gathering that brings together academics specializing in Japanese literary studies. Initially established as a platform for intellectual exchange among scholars from Japan, South Korea, China, and Taiwan, the forum has, since 2018, expanded its reach to include representatives from Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries. This development highlights the growing cross-regional collaboration in examining and advancing discourses on contemporary Japanese literature. (Trans-CA)
