MISSIONS

  1. To develop education and research in the area of Dutch language, linguistics, literature, and culture as a contribution to the development and progress of humanity.
  2. To maximize the integration of education, research, and community services in the area of Dutch language, linguistics, literature, and culture.
  3. To produce high quality human resources in the area of Dutch language, linguistics, literature, and culture.

GRADUATE PROFILE AND COMPETENCIES

  1. Profile of Dutch Studies Graduate

Graduates of Dutch Studies Program are able to communicate in Dutch and conduct studies in the field of Dutch language, literature and culture

2. Main Competenciesa.

  • To be able to communicate in Dutch both orally and in written.
  • To be able to analyse Dutch linguistic phenomena.
  • To be able to apply literary theories to analyse Dutch literary works.
  • To be able to analyse Dutch historical and sociocultural phenomena and their relevance to Indonesia in the fields of economy, culture, education, and religion in certain periods.

    3. Supporting Competencies
  • To be able to formulate scientific ideas, both orally and in written using the standard Indonesian language.
  • To be able to apply theories and research methods in cultural studies.
  • To be able to explain the characteristics and dynamics of Indonesian culture.
  • To be able to elaborate various philosophical and modern thoughts.
  • To be able to present contemporary Indonesian people and society and their relationships with other nations in the global context.

    4. Other Competencies
  • To be able to use information and communication technology.
  • To be able to think in a critical, creative, and innovative manner and to have intellectual curiosity to solve problems both individually and in groups.
  • To be able to behave with integrity and to respect others.
  • To be able to identify a variety of entrepreneurial efforts that are characterized by ethical innovation and autonomy.
  • To be able to use both spoken and written Indonesian and English in a correct and proper manner for academic and non-academic activities.
