Dr. Emilia Maglione (Dosen Program Studi Prancis)
Dr.-Emilia-MaglioneSelama lebih dari 35 tahun, Dr. Maglione telah mengembangkan sertifikasi dan pengalamannya di bidang pengajaran dan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dan Italia. Sebelum bergabung di FIB UI sebagai dosen bahasa dan kebudayaan Italia sejak tahun 2008, Dr. Maglione bekerja sebagai pelatih guru Bahasa Inggris dalam pengembangan kemampuan komunikatif bahasa untuk guru sekolah dasar. Dia juga telah mengajar bahasa Inggris kepada murid dari berbagai usia dan latar belakang di sekolah negeri dan lembaha bahasa di Italia. Dia adalah lulusan program studi Bahasa Asing dari Istituto di Magistero (Institute of Education) Suor Orsola Benincasa di Napoli (Italia) dan memiliki First Certificate in English dari Cambridge University (Inggris), Italian as L2 – Theory and Practice Models, and Course Syllabus dari Università Cattolica, Brescia (Italia), Italian as L2- Language of Contact and Language of Culture dari Università Cattolica, Milan (Italia). Saat ini ia mengajar di FIB UI hingga akhir tahun ajaran 2015/2016.

For more than 35 years, Dr. Maglione has been developing her credentials and experiences in both English and Italian language teaching and learning. Prior to joining FIB UI as a lecturer in Italian Language and Culture in 2008, Dr. Maglione worked as a trainer for English teachers training on the development of language-communicative abilities for primary school teachers at CSA- Brescia for two consecutive years. She has also taught English to various students in Italian state school and language institutes. She holds a degree in Foreign Languages from Istituto di Magistero Suor Orsola Benincasa in Naples (Italy), a diploma in Teaching English as Foreign Language from Dublin Training Institute (Ireland), First Certificate in English from Cambridge University (the UK), certifications on English Teaching Methodology from IRSSAE Lombardia (Italy), Italian as L2 – Theory and Practice Models, and Course Syllabus from Università Cattolica of Brescia (Italy), Italian as L2- Language of Contact and Language of Culture from Università Cattolica of Milan (Italy) and many others. Currently she is teaching at FIB UI until the end of 2015/2016 academic year.

Dr. Marco Peter Stahlhut (Dosen Program Studi Jerman)
Dr. Marco Peter Stahlhut Dr. Stahlhut memiliki gelar master dalam bidang Sastra Bandingan dari University of East Anglia (Inggris) dan master di bidang Filsafat Bahasa dan Sastra Bandingan dari Free University Berlin dan Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (Jerman). Pada tahun 2003, ia menyelesaikan studi doktoralnya dengan spesifikasi di bidang filsafat bahasa dan antropologi filsafat dari Free University Berlin. Sebelum bergabung dengan program studi Jerman FIB UI, Dr. Stahlhut bekerja sebagai anggota peneliti di Free University Berlin dan mengajar kelas-kelas magister dan doktoral. Ia juga telah mengajar bahasa Jerman untuk mahasiswa asal Asia di Free University Berlin dan Technical University Berlin sejak tahun 2009. Minat penelitiannya saat ini termasuk penggunaan interkulturalitas dan kontrastivitas dalam pengajaran bahasa asing, serta konsep kajian sastra bandingan di Asia Tenggara, dan khususnya dalam perspektif Indonesia. Ia juga merupakan instruktur bahasa Jerman bersertifikat dalam bidang Teaching German as a Foreign Language (DaF) dari Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich dan Goethe Institute. Sejak tahun 2004 sampai sekarang, ia juga bekerja sebagai jurnalis untuk program siaran TV berbahasa Jerman dan Prancis, ARTE, khususnya untuk laporan di ranah sastra dan budaya. Dr. Stahlhut adalah dosen DAAD (Pelayanan Pertukaran Akademik Jerman) di FIB UI sejak September 2014.

Dr. Stahlhut has a British MA in Comparative Literature from University of East Anglia in the UK and a German MA in Philosophy of Language and Comparative Literature from Free University Berlin and Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. In 2003, he finished his PhD specializing in philosophy of language and philosophical anthropology from Free University Berlin. Prior to joining the German Department at FIB UI, Dr. Stahlhut worked as a research associate at the Free University Berlin and taught classes for MA and PhD candidates. He has also taught German language to Asian students of Free University Berlin and Technical University Berlin since 2009. His current research interests include the uses of interculturality and contrastivity in foreign language teaching as well as conceptualizing comparative literature studies that would include Southeast Asian, and especially Indonesian, perspectives. He is also a certified German language instructor and received his university certificate in Teaching German as a Foreign Language (DaF) from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich and Goethe Institute. Since 2004 until now, he has also been working as a journalist for ARTE, a German-French broadcasting channel, responsible for literature and culture reports. Dr. Stahlhut has been working as a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service)-lecturer at FIB UI since September 2014.

Peter Carey (Profesor Tamu Program Studi Sejarah)
Prof. Peter Carey Prof. Carey adalah sejarawan, penulis dan profesor emeritus di Trinity College, Oxford asal Inggris yang telah meneliti sejarah dan kebudayaan Indonesia, terutama Jawa, selama lebih dari 40 tahun. Ia dilahirkan di rangoon, Burma dan menghabiskan masa kecilnya di Asia sebelum kembali ke Inggris di tahun 1955. Ia meraih gelar sarjana di bidang Sejarah Modern dari Trinity College, Oxford University di tahun 1969 dan melanjutkan studinya di Cornell University (Amerika Srikat) dengan beasiswa English Speaking Union (ESU) di mana ia mulai tertarik dengan kajian Asia tenggara. Ia lalu menjadi Laithwaite Fellow and Tutor di bidang Sejarah Modern di Trinity College, Oxford University dari tahun 1979 hingga 2008, dengan spesialisasi di sejarah dan politik modern Indonesia, Burma dan Timor Leste. Karya-karya awalnya berkonsentrasi pada sejarah Pangeran Diponegoro, orang Inggris di Jawa (1811-16) dan Perang Jawa (1825-1830) dan mempublikasikan secara luas biografi Pangeran Diponegoro, ‘The Power of Prophecy’ (2007) dan ‘Takdir: Riwayat Pangeran Diponegoro 1785—1855’ yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2004 di Indonesia. Ia saat ini menjabat sebagai profesor tamu di Departemen Sejarah UI dari tahun 2013 hingga 2016.

Prof. Carey is a British historician, author and Fellow Emeritus at Trininity College, Oxford who has has been researching Indonesian history and culture, particularly that of Java for over 40 years. He was born in Rangoon, Burma and spent his childhood in Asia before returning to the UK in 1955. He received a BA (First Class Honours) in Modern History from Trinity College of Oxford University in 1969 and continued his studies in Cornell University, the USA through English Speaking Union (ESU) scholarship, where he began to develop interests in Southeast Asian studies. He then became the Laithwaite Fellow and Tutor for Modern History in Trinity College of Oxford University from 1979 to 2008, where he specialized in the modern history and politics of Indonesia, Burma and Timor Leste. His major early works concentrated on the history of Diponegoro, the British in Java (1811–16) and the Java War (1825–30) on which he has published widely, his major biography of Diponegoro, ‘The Power of Prophecy’, appearing in 2007 and ‘Takdir: Riwayat Pangeran Diponegoro 1785—1855’, which was published in 2014 in Indonesia. He currently serves as Adjunct Professor at the History Department of FIB UI from 2013 to 2016.

Paul Bijl (Peneliti Tamu Program Studi Belanda)
Paul-BijlBijl adalah asisten profesor di bidang sastra Belanda modern di University of Amsterdam dan peneliti di KITLV/ Royal Institute for Southeast and Carribean Studies di Leiden (Belanda) . Ia memiliki gelar doktoral dan master (riset) dalam bidang Kajian Kesusastraan dari Utrecht University, dan master di bidang Sastra dan Budaya Belanda di VU University of Amsterdam. Minat penelitiannya antara lain adalah kesusastraan, Belada (pasca)kolonial, gender dan etnisitas serta sejarah dan memori budaya Indonesia. Disertasinya berfokus pada memori budaya Belanda dalam kekerasan kolonial di masa penjajahan di Indonesia dan dipublikasikan dalam buku berjudul  Emergine Memory: Photographs of Colonial Atrocity in Ducth Cultural Rememberance (Amsterdam University Press, 2015). Di tahun 2014, ia menerima beasiswa Veni dari NWO/ Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research dan dari situ ia meneliti jejak sirkulasi transnasional dari surat-surat Kartini (1879-1904) di Eropa, Indonesia dan Amerika Serikat. Sebelum kunjungannya ke FIB UI, ia merupakan peneliti tamu di Universitas Gadjah Mada 2015 dan Universite Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne untuk riset di UNESCO Archive and Library (2014). Saat ini ia merupakan peneliti tamu di FIB UI untuk penelitiannya mengenai resepsi internasional surat-surat Kartini.

Bijl is currently an assistant professor of modern Dutch literature at the University of Amsterdam and affiliated fellow at KITLV/ Royal Institute for Southeast and Carribean Studies in Leiden. He holds a PhD and an MA (Research) in Literary Sudies from Utrecht University, as well as an MA in Ducth Language and Culture from VU University of Amsterdam. His main research interests are literature, (post)colonial Ducth, gender and ethnicity and Indonesian history and cultural memory. His PhD thesis was on Dutch cultural memory of colonial violence in colonial Indonesia and published in 2015 in a book titled Emergine Memory: Photographs of Colonial Atrocity in Ducth Cultural Rememberance (Amsterdam University Press, 2015). In 2014, he received a Veni scholarship from NWO/ Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research, from which he traces the transnational circulation of the letters of the Javanese woman Kartini (1879-1904) in Europe, Indonesia and the United States. Before his coming to FIB UI, he was a visiting scholar at Universitas Gadjah Mada (2015) and Universite Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne for research at UNESCO Archive and Library (2014). He is currently a visiting researcher at FIB UI for his ongoing project on international reception of Kartini’s letters.

Lim Kyung-Ae (Dosen Program Studi Korea)
Lim Kyung-AeLim telah mengajar di program studi Bahasa dan Kebudayaan Korea FIB UI sejak tahun 2008. Ia memiliki gelar master di bidang pendidikan di Sang Myung University Graduate School of Education (Korea Selatan), jurusan Pengajaran Bahasa Asing. Pengajar bahasa Korea bersetifikat serta mahir dalam bahasa Indonesia, Lim telah menulis buku resep bahasa Korea dan Indonesia serta berkontribusi pada penulisan buku teks Bahasa Korea untuk Sekolah Menengah di Indonesia dan buku teks Bahasa Jepang untuk Sekolah Menengah di Korea. Ia juga telah melakukan penelitian dan memberikan kuliah dalam bidang e-bisnis dan UKM (Usaha Kecil menengah) Korea dan Indonesia yang berkolaborasi dengan LIPI Indonesia. Selain mengajar dan meneliti, Lim juga merupakan kordinator wilayah Indonesia untuk  Asian Pacific Women’s Information Network Center (APWINC) di Sook Myung University (Korea Selatan).

Lim has been teaching at the Korean Language and Culture Department of FIB UI since 2008. She holds a master degree in education from Sang Myung University Graduate School of Education, majoring in Foreign Language Education. A certified Korean language teacher and also fluent in Indonesian and Japanese, Lim has written Korean and Indonesian recipe books as well as contributed to Korean Language Textbook for Indonesian High School and Japanese Textbook for Korean High School. She has also done some research and delivered lectures in Korean and Indonesian e-Businesses and SMEs, mostly in collaboration with LIPI Indonesia. Aside from teaching and researching, she is now also an Indonesian Coordinator of Asian Pacific Women’s Information Network Center (APWINC) in Sook Myung University

Pyo Guknam (Dosen Program Studi Korea)
Guknam adalah dosen sukarela yang ditugaskan oleh Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) di FIB UI untuk mengajar Bahasa dan Pendidikan Korea di jurusan Bahasa dan Kebudayaan Korea mulai dari Februari 2016 hingga Februari 2017. Ia memiliki gelar sarjana dalam bidang bahasa Vietnam dari Hankuk University of Foreign Studies dan master di bidang Bahasa dan Kebudayaan Korea dari Dongguk University (Korea Selatan). Juga merupakan pengajar bahasa Korea bersertifikat, Guknam memiliki spesialisasi di bidang Bahasa Korea sebagai Bahasa Asing dan menulis tesis tentang lingustik kontrastif. Sebelum kedatangannya ke Indonesia, ia telah menyelesaikan Pelatihan Pengajar Bahasa korea di Incheon University dan Instruktur Bahasa di TSE Korea.

Guknam is a volunteer foreign lecturer assgined by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) at FIB UI, teaching Korean Language and Education at the Department of Korean Language and Literature from February 2016 to February 2017. He holds a BA in Vietnamese from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and an MA in Korean Language and Literature from Dongguk University, South Korea. Also a certified Korean language teacher, Guknam specializes in Korean as Foreign Language and wrote a master thesis on contrastive lingustics. Prior to his visit to Indonesia, he completed Korean Language Teachers Training course in Incheon University and Speech Instructor course in TSE Korea.

Prof. Mikihiro Moriyama (Profesor Tamu Lembaga Kajian Indonesia)
Prof. Mikihiro MoriyamaProf. Moriyama mengajar bahasa dan kebudayaan Indonesia di Departemen Kajian Asia, Fakultas Kajian Asing di Universitas Nanzan, jepang. Saat ini ia juga merupakan Direktur Program Pascasarjana di Kajian Wilayah Internasional di universitas yang sama. Prof. Moriyama merupakan ahli terkenal di dunia internasional dalam bidang kajian Sunda. Salah satu buku terpentingnya tentang sejarah Sunda berjudul “Semangat Baru: Kolonialisme, Budaya Cetak, dan Kesastraan Sunda Abad ke-19”. Pada tahun 2014, ia menerbitkan buku dengan A. Kashimura, tentang karya-karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma, berjudul “Seno Gumira Ajidarma Tanpenshu” [antologi Seno Gumira Ajidarma ] dalam terjemahan bahasa Jepang, diterbitkan oleh Mekong Publishing yang berbasis di Tokyo. Ia menerima penghargaan bergengsi dari pemerintah Jepang untuk riset dan dedikasinya di kajian Indonesia, yaitu the Japan Society for Promotion of Science Award, pada tahun 2006. Prof. Moriyama akan bertugas sebagai profesor tamu di FIB UI di bawah naungan UI Resolv Program dan FIB dari Oktober hingga November 2016. Selama masa penugasannya, ia akan mengadakan pelatihan dengan mahasiswa program pascasarjana dan staf fakultas dari kajian Indonesia, serta berpartisipasi sebagai plenary speaker di Asia-Pacific Research Forum on Social Sciences and Humanities (APRISH), pada tanggal 7 hingga 9 November 2016.

Prof. Moriyama teaches Indonesian language and culture in the Department of Asian Studies, Faculty of Foreign Studies, Nanzan University, Japan. He is currently also Director of the Graduate Program in International Area Studies at Nanzan. Prof. Moriyama is an internationally-recognized expert in the Sundanese studies. His most important book on the Sundanese political history is “Semangat Baru: Kolonialisme, Budaya Cetak, dan Kesastraan Sunda Abad ke-19” [A new spirit: Colonialism, Print Culture and Sundanese Literature in the 19th century], published by Komunitas Bambu (2013). In 2014 he published a book with A. Kashimura on Seno Gumara Ajidarma’s works, Seno Gumira Ajidarma Tanpenshu [Anthology of Seno Gumira Ajidarma], Japanese translation, published by Tokyo-based Mekong Publishing. He received a prestigious award from the Japanese government for his dedicated work on Indonesian studies, the Japan Society for Promotion of Science Award, in 2006. Prof Moriyama will be a visiting scholar to the Faculty of Humanities UI under the auspices of the UI Resolv Program and the Faculty of Humanities from October to November 2016. During his stay, he will conduct workshops with graduate students and faculty staff of the Indonesian studies at the graduate program, as well as participating as a plenary speaker in the Asia-Pacific Research Forum on Social Sciences and Humanities (APRISH) on 7 – 9 November, 2016.

Dr. Zhu Wei (Dosen Tamu Program studi China)
Dr.-Zhue-WeiDr. Zhu Wei mengajar bahasa China untuk penutur asing di Fujian Normal University, Tiongkok dan saat ini bertugas untuk mengajar bahasa mandarin di program studi China di FIB UI selama satu tahun dari Januari hingga Desember 2016. Dia memperoleh gelar sarjana dari departemen Inggris, Zaozhuang University dan master dari Qinghai University for Nationalities di Tiongkok. Gelar doktoralnya di bidang lingustik dan linguistik terapan diperoleh dari Communication University of China. Minat penelitiannya termasuk analisis wacana media massa, kajian film dan pembuatan tes. Selain mengajar bahasa Mandarin di FIB UI, ia juga mengajar subjek yang sama di Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia, Jakarta. Penugasannya di FIB UI didukung dan disponsori oleh Confucius Institute. Selama di FIB UI ia juga akan mengadakan beberapa pelatihan dengan staf fakultas di program studi China.

She teaches Chinese as a foreign language at Fujian Normal University, China, and is currently teaching Mandarin at the Chinese Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, for a period of one year from January to December 2016. She earned her B.A. degree in Arts from the English Department, Zaozhuang University, China, and her M.A. degree from Qinghai University for Nationalities, China. Her Ph.D. degree was obtained from Communication University of China, majoring in Applied Linguistics. Her research interests include discourse analysis of mass media, film studies, and test-making. In addition to teaching Mandarin at FIB-UI, she also teaches the Mandarin language at Al-Azhar University Jakarta. Her term in Universitas Indonesia is made possible by the sponsorship of the Confucius Institute. During her stay, she will also conduct some workshops with the faculty staff of the Chinese Study Program on teaching methodology, testing, and Chinese contemporary culture.

João Luís Cerqueira Soares (Dosen Tamu Program Studi Prancis)

João LuísMr. Soares memiliki gelar sarjana di bidang Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah dengan penekanan pada Kajian Bahasa Inggris dan Portugis dari Jean Piaget University, Almada, Portugal. Ia memperoleh gelar masternya di bidang Ilmu Pendidikan dengan fokus pada Analisis dan Intervensi pada Pendidikan di from New University of Lisbon, FSHS, Lisbon, Portugal di tahun 2012, menulis sebuah tesis yang berjudul “Extracurricular Participation as Means of Inclusion for Key Stage 2 Students”. Sejak tahun 2004, Mr. Soares telah mengajar bahasa Portugis dan Inggris di berbagai sekolah dan pusat pendidikan di Portugal dan Inggris. Ia mulai mengajar bahasa Portugis pada mahasiswa FIB UI dan membantu merancang silabus baru untuk mata kuliah bahasa, sejarah dan kebudayaan Portugis sejak tahun 2013. Selain mengajar di FIB UI, saat ini ia juga merupakan Konselor Budaya di kedutaan besar Portugal untuk Indonesia Jakarta, bertanggung jawab untuk perancangan dan pengaturang kegiatan kebudayaan.

Mr. Soares holds a BA in Primary and Middle School Education with emphasis on Portuguese and English studies from Jean Piaget University, Almada, Portugal. He obtained his MA in Educational Sciences with area of specialisation in Analysis and Intervention in Education from New University of Lisbon, FSHS, Lisbon, Portugal in 2012, writing a thesis titled “Extracurricular Participation as Means of Inclusion for Key Stage 2 Students”. Since 2004, he has taught English and Portuguese in various schools and educational centres in Portugal and England. He began teaching Portuguese to students of FIB UI and developing new syllabus for courses in Portuguese language, history and culture since 2013. Aside from teaching at FIB UI currently, he is also a Cultural Counsellor at the embassy of Portugal to Indonesia, Jakarta, responsible for designing and coordinating cultural activities.

Prof. James C. Woodward (Profesor Tamu Departemen Linguistik)

JC WoodwardProfesor James Woodward adalah seorang akademisi yang berperan dalam bidang leksikologi dan leksikografi bahasa Isyarat. Ia menerima gelar Ph.D di bidang sosioinguistik dengan predikat ‘distinction’ dari Goergetown University di Washington D.C., Amerika Serikat. Disertasinya membahas tentang variasi tata bahasa di Bahasa Isyarat Amerika. Dari tahun 1969 hingga 1995, ia bekerja di Gallaudet University di Amerika di posisi beragam terkait dengan analisis lingustik dan antropologis mengenai bahasa isyarat dan budaya tuna rungu. Dari tahun 1992 hingga 1995, ia juga mengajar linguistik di Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Dari tahun 1996 hingga 2000, ia bekerja di Ratchasuda College, Mahidol University di Salaya, Thailand sebagai direktur riset dan direkturlokal untuk World Deaf Leadership Thailand Project. DI tahun 2000, ia pindah ke Vietnam dan menjadi direktur proyek Opening University Education to Deaf People in Vietnam di Departemen Pendidikan dan Pelatihan provinsi Dong Nai. Sejak tahun 2004, dia juga menjadi profesor kehormatan di departemen linguistik dan bahasa modern dan direktur bersamadi Pusat Linguistik Isyarat dan Kajian Tuna Rungu di CUHK. Ia telah mempublikasikan berbagai riset di bidang sosiolinguistik bahasa Isyarat, karakteristik umum dan unik bahasa Isyarat,hubungan historis-komparatif bahasa Isyarat dan pendidikan tuna rungu. Minat penelitian terkininya adalah hubungan historis-komparatif bahasa Isyarat dan deskripsi dan dokumentasi bahasa Isyarat yang hampir punah. Prof. Woodward akan berada di FIB UI pada 15 September sampai 12 Oktober 2016, untuk membantu sebagai instruktur di Pelatihan Dasar Pembuatan Kamus Bahasa Isyarat.

Prof. James C. Woodward (Visiting Professor at the Department of Linguistics)

Professor James Woodward is an academician in the fields of lexicology and lexicography of sign languages. He received his Ph.D. degree with distinction in sociolinguistics at Georgetown University, Washington D.C., completing his dissertation on grammatical variation in American sign language. From 1969 to 1995, he worked at Gallaudet University in various positions related to the linguistic and anthropological analyses of sign languages and Deaf cultures. From 1992 to 1995, he also taught linguistics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. From 1996 to 2000, he worked at Ratchasuda College, Mahidol University at Salaya, Thailand as director of research and as local director of the World Deaf Leadership Thailand Project. In 2000, he moved to Vietnam where he became director of the project “Opening University Education to Deaf People in Vietnam” at the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Education and Training. Since 2004, he has also been an honorary adjunct professor in the department of linguistics and modern languages and co-director of the Centre for Sign Linguistics and Deaf Studies at CUHK. He has published research on sign language sociolinguistics, universal and unique characteristics of sign languages, historical-comparative relationships of sign languages, and deaf education. His current research interests include historical-comparative relationships of sign languages and the description and documentation of endangered sign languages. Professor Woodward will be at FIB UI from 15 September to 12 October 2016, serving as an instructor for the Basic Training for the Creation of Sign Language Dictionary.

Lo Chun Yi Connie (Dosen Tamu Dept. Linguistik)

Lo Chun Yi Connie adalah seorang pengajar dan instruktur Tuli yang berperan dalam bidang pengajaran bahasa Isyarat. Beliau sebelumnya belajar di Ohlone College di Amerika Serika, mengambil bidang studi Pendidikan Umum, lalu melanjutkan pendidikannya di bidang Media Baru di Academy of Art University di San Fransisco. Sejak tahun 2007, Connie mendalami pengajaran bahasa Isyarat untuk tuna rungu di Chinese University of Hongkong (CUHK), mengambil program diploma di bidang leksikografi dasar bahasa Isyarat dan Literasi Bahasa Inggris dan Aplikasi Teknologi Informasi untuk Tuna Rungu. Pada 2008-2009, ia mengambil program diploma di bidang Kajian Bahasa Isyarat untuk Tuna Rungu, Kajian Umum Tuna Rungu dan Keahlian Literasi Bahasa Inggris untuk Tuna Rungu. Pada tahun 2009-2012, Ia melanjutkan studinya dengan mengambil program diploma lanjutan di bidang lingustik dan pengajaran bahasa Isyarat di universitas yang sama. Saat ini, ia bekerja sebagai peneliti di Pusat Linguistik dan Kajian Tuna Rungu di CUHK dan berpengalaman di berbagai riset di bidang variasi leksikal dan perubahan diakronik dalam bahasa Isyarat di Hong Kong, asal mula bahasa Isyarat di Hong Kong dan pendidikan awal untuk Tuna Rungu dan lain sebagainya. Connie akan berada di FIB UI pada 15 September sampai 12 Oktober 2016, untuk membantu sebagai instruktur di Pelatihan Dasar Pembuatan Kamus Bahasa Isyarat.

Lo Chun Yi Connie (Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Lingustics)

Lo Chun Yi Connie is a teacher of Sign Language and instructor to the Deaf. She previously studied at the Ohlone College in the US, majoring in General Education, and then advanced her studies in New Media at the Academy of Art University in San Fransisco. Since 2007, she delved into the fields of Sign Language Teaching for the Deaf at The Chinese University of Hongkong (CUHK), taking diploma programs in Basic Sign Language Lexicography for the Deaf and English Literacy and IT Applications for the Deaf. From 2008 to 2009, she took diploma programs in Sing Language Studies for the Deaf, general Studies for th Deaf and English Skills Literascy for the Deaf. From 2009 to 2012, she took a higher diploma program in Sign Lingustics and Sign Language Teaching at the same university. Currently, she is working as a research assistant at the Centre for Sign Linguistics & Deaf Studies at the CUHK and has done extensive research on the Lexical Variations and Diachronic Change in Hong Kong Sign Language, the Origin of Hong Kong Sign Language and Early Deaf Education in Asia, etc. at Connie will be at FIB UI from 15 September to 12 October 2016, serving as an instructor for the Basic Training for the Creation of Sign Language Dictionary.

Rizka Windiastuti, B.S.C.S., M.I.T.

Adalah Kepala Bidang Toponim di Pusat Pemetaan Rupabumi dan Toponim, Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG). Beliau  akan berkunjung ke FIB UI sebagai salah satu narasumber dalam Seminar Nasional Toponimi yang akan diselenggarakan di FIB UI pada 3 November 2016. Dalam acara tersebut, Ibu Rizka akan memaparkan wawasan terkait peran publik dalam menumbuhkembangkan toponimi di Indonesia, serta masalah-masalah toponimi yang telah ditangani secara komprehensif di BIG.

She is visiting FIB UI to speak at the National Seminar on Toponymy held at FIB UI at 3 November 2016. In the ocassion, she will talk about the role of the public in the development of toponymy in Indonesia and toponymy-related issues that have been managed and tackled by Geospatial Information Board of Indonesia.

Eko Subowo

Adalah Dirjen Bina Administrasi Kewilayahan, Kementrian Dalam Negeri. Beliau  akan berkunjung ke FIB UI sebagai salah satu narasumber dalam Seminar Nasional Toponimi yang akan diselenggarakan di FIB UI pada 3 November 2016. Dalam acara tersebut, Bapak Eko akan memaparkan wawasan terkait peran publik dalam menumbuhkembangkan toponimi di Indonesia, serta masalah-masalah toponimi yang telah ditangani oleh Direktorat Bina Administrasi Kewilayahan, Kementerian Dalam Negeri.

He is visiting FIB UI as one of the speakers at the National Seminar on Toponymy held at FIB UI at 3 November 2016. In the ocassion, he will talk about the role of the public in the development of toponymy in Indonesia and toponymy-related issues that have been managed and tackled by Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Christian Rabl (Dosen Program Studi Jerman)

Christian Rabl lulus dari Academy of Fine Arts  of Naples, Italia dan Academy of Fine Arts, Munich, Jerman di jurusan Pendidikan Seni. Ia kemudian meraih gelar master di bidang Teori Sastra dan Sastra Bandingan pada tahun 2012 dari Ludwig Maximilan University of Munich, Jerman. Sejak tahun 2000, Rabl telah bekerja sebagai asisten peneliti, pengajar seni dan dosen Bahasa Jerman untuk berbagai institusi internasional. Minat penelitiannya antara lain adalah Kajian Budaya, Seni dan teori Sastra, Sastra dalam Pendidikan Bahasa Asing, Intermedialitas, Teori Poskolonial dan Manajemen Pendidikan. Saat ini Rabl sedang bekerja sebagai dosen Bahasa Jerman di Moldova State University di Chisinau, Moldova, bermitra dengan Robert Fosch Foundation. Ia akan menjadi penngajar tamu di prodi Jerman FIB mulai September 2016.

Christian Rabl graduated from Academy of Fine Arts  of Naples, Italy and Academy of Fine Arts, Munich, Germany majoring in Art Education. He then pursued his MA in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature from Ludwig Maximilan University of Munich, Germany. Since 2000, Rabl has been working at various international institutions as research assistant, art educator and German lecturer. His research interests include Cultural Studies, Art and Literary Theory, Literature in Foreign Language Education, Intermediality, Postcolonial Theory and Educational Management. Rabl is currently working as German lecturer at Moldova State University in Chisinau, for a lectureship program of the Robert Bosch Foundation. He will be serving as a guest lecturer at the German Program of FIB UI, starting September 2016.
